Ganna Walska Lotusland

Happy almost New Year everyone! I hope your holidays were happy. The friday before Christmas weekend I met up with Brian & Shelle to do their engagement session. My assistant and I were amazed at how beautiful the drive was up the winding roads of the hills of Montecito. my assistant claimed to have spotted Oprah's house but after arguing about it for a half an hour we decided we would agree to disagree. So anyway, back to the shoot, finally we got to the gate of Ganna Walska's famous lotusland. We were consumed with the wonder of the place and the perfect weather. Brian and Shelle met up with us shortly after looking sharp as usual. For any of you music enthusiasts that know if Ernie Ball music hardware/equiptment, Brian Ball is in that family! It was neat, like working with a celebrity. Their wedding is going to be the party of the year, next June. Tons of friends and family, fireworks, what a huge celebration it will be, I can't wait!! Laura & Ryan

Yesterday I was up in my beloved San Luis Obispo for the day to take care of some business. First was an engagement shoot with Laura & Ryan! They were so sweet and so in love and it was apparent throughout the shoot. We stepped on a few too many moldy grapes in the vineyard and had a run in with a very licky and jumpy dog at an old shed down the road. But all in all it was a blast. I can't wait until their wedding next year!

This last weekend's wedding was a little crazy! Anything that could go wrong, did in fact go wrong. But the brilliant part was that everyone had a great time nonetheless. The rain poured on the beautiful outdoor ceremony, the power went out inside soon after. The mother of the bride got sick and the bride soon after that! The candles and fire places made a beautiful and romantic ambiance at the reception and the band was fantastic. Everyone made the best of it and celebrated anyway. Only a family and a couple as strong and in love as this could have made it through this day. Ashley & Joe pulled through until the end and entered into married life with a bang and quite a story to tell!
