today

today was such a beautiful day! after breakfast with my sister, and my brother in law we picked up a few more people and all smushed into two cars and headed to church. it started raining and got cloudy on the way up to carpenteria, but i was overjoyed because i love the rain! anyway, we were extremely late to church but somehow managed to score a room of couches with just enough seats for all 7 of us with the sermon on a TV. we decided to catch the praise and worship afterwards 'live' and squeezed into the sanctuary standing up, hah! Afterward we managed to snag some amazing cupcakes off of a platter as they were quickly disappearing before our eyes. gracie and I got dropped off at my house, and we decided to take some pictures in between the spots of rain because of the pretty light outside. breakfast, rain, church, cupcakes, rain, pictures??! coolest day ever! so gracie and I met a couple years ago and hit it off. we have had some rough patches, but these days our friendship is stronger than ever. she has this unbelievable knack for cheering me up, encouraging me and making me laugh no matter what the circumstances. it is so neat to watch her grow in the Lord right before my eyes, it is such a blessing and a motivation for me to know our God more. she is such an awesome girl, and an answer to my prayers for a close friend. anyway, she was practically glowing all day, and you can tell in the photos below!
