what ?!

Okay this is kind of funny I think, I got a test from my friend tara's blog, to see what reading level the writing on my blog is. I got GENIUS?! Isn't that funny! I have no idea what I've ever written that qualifies me as a genius, but hey I'll take it!

Kalea

Meet the adorable Kalea, the daughter of my wonderful and fabulous hair stylist katie from tiger lily salon. There is no doubt in my mind that she is the real deal, america's next gap kids/banana republic kids/abercrombie & fitch kids MODEL! I'm keeping my fingers crossed : ) There are so many amazin pictures of this cute little freckle face, tons more to come, I just had to put a few up for a sneak peek!

the reason for the season :)

this weekend gracie and I headed up to SLO to meet with a fantastic new couple, and also do an awesome shoot with my friend Katie and her adorable daughter (more on that in the near future)! we also got to spend some quality time with one of my sisters and her husband mike. we had a fire in the fireplace and they decorated their tree, it was so fun and peacful. we got to watch one of my new favorite christmas movies, The Nativity Story. It seriously is amazing. I saw it last year in theaters when it came out, and recommend it very highly! It reminds us or teaches some for the first time the reason we really celebrate Christmas :) so pick it up if you get a chance! hope all is well with everyone and you are enjoying this joyous time of year.

long time no see!

I'm sorry for not posting in a while! Lots of fun things happening and family time and great food. since being in the wedding industry, I am captivated and enthralled by everything wedding. I love seeing everyones unique ideas and I sometimes I'll sit around and pour through wedding magazines and just gush over how pretty and amazing everything is. so anyway, on my lovely friend teresa's blog, she has a link to a blog called style me pretty that I always check up on. kate + sean

wow, their cuteness was almost unbearable! sarah and I hung out with kate and sean (and kate's family for a little while) at the gorgeous alisal ranch this weekend. the lighting was amazing and their smiles never wavered! here is one pic from the day, maybe I will post a few more soon, it was so beautiful and fall-y outside!

get into it!

today I got up earlier than I want to think about to drive down to LAX airport to pick up my best friend (since 1st grade!) for her California visit; I haven't seen her in 3 years! despite our zombie-like state we strolled around the 3rd street promenade in santa monica for a few hours. we happened to pass a guy playing guitar, and I had to sit down and listen. sometimes I get stuck in musical ruts, and hearing new sound is like a breath of fresh air to my soul (my apologies for the cheesy-ness) ! I talked with him, his name is abe quigley he is from chicago and tours around playing local venues, and he was super nice! I purchased his CD and I love it. I found this video on his site and wanted to post it, his sound kind of reminds me of cold play + iron and wine... how can you go wrong?! So anyway, pictures of my beauteous best friend Sarah to come in the near future, don't worry. in the meantime check out abe's video below!
