i met kristin at our home group through our church, reality carpinteria. i soon learned that she is a beautiful girl outside, because it beams from the inside out. yesterday we shot some 'head shots' for her, danica did her makeup and hair and made her look even more amazing, so my job was super easy! this was my first go at head shots, so we messed around with a few looks and makeup and lighting. they are definitely a new (but beautiful) spin on headshots, but it is good to have variety right? the pictures came out really great, and kristin was so professional and easy to work with. she has been in a ton of independent movies, and also a lot of popular tv shows; she has a really impressive resume. I wish the best for her and her career and pray that God will continue to guide and bless her in her ventures! here are a few (or a lot!) of my favorites from the shoot:

hannah + baby zoe

i've been wanting to take pictures of the beautiful hannah and her precious baby zoe for a while now and finally the time came this morning! they were just as adorable together as i expected, and then some. i'm so blessed to know hannah and we've seen each other change and grow a lot in the past few years. we've had to work and earn our friendship, and it is all the sweeter because of it. i hope you all like these, because there are going to be a billion more in the future because they live down the street, woohoo!

santa barbara bridal expo

a giant thank you to all all the brides and grooms (and moms and dads and friends, etc etc!) that came out to the Santa Barbara Bridal Expo yesterday and stopped by my booth! It was so nice to meet all of you and share in your excitement for your big day. my new site will be up by the end of today, so please check back, it is definitely worth the wait! and p.s. thank you to crumbs for having your booth across from me and supplying me all day long with cake samples, awesome!!

sorry for the lack of posts, but after a wonderful Christmas and a fun birthday with my best friend taylor, and getting my new website up (tomorrow?!) and my gigantic bridal fair tomorrow, there has been close to no time to post! anyway, I hope this new year has found you refreshed and hopeful for what the new year holds, as it has done for me. I have a ton of stuff to post about so stay tuned! and hopefully the new and amazingly improved annajoyphoto.com will be up by tomorrow or monday, but I will keep you all posted! woohoo! to my clients from 07, I had such a wonderful year with you and your love has so inspired me to keep creating and keep pursuing this career :) to my beautiful clients for 08, i'm SO EXCITED to keep working with you all and see what the future holds. thank you everyone and anyone who keeps checking in on the blog faithfully!
