my sister is in town and while she was sleeping i stole her john courson application bible... its AWESOME. i was reading about jacob and there was this commentary on him being persistent and insistent in prayer. it told about this prayer found in the breast pocket of a civil war soldier shot at gettysburg, and i really liked it so here you go...

lately,

i've been up to a lot, and catching up from some summer madness :) i doubt anyone reads this little blog anymore due to a serious case of blog lag but if you do, then hang on, there is light at the end of the tunnel.. i promise! my amazingly talented and fiercely humorous studio manager (and also my best friend) is going to be updating...drum roll please... ALL BLOG POSTS from this year! ta da! so yeah, remember the wedding from portland? yep. remember christy and daryl's engagement shoot? yep that too. remember when i got baptized? remember prom?! so just wait, your face will melt off when you see all the candy for your eyes, yahoo! also in exciting news, the new annajoyphoto.com will be coming out in the next couple months, it's going to be amazing. i hope all you beautiful people are having a marvelous summer!

double the awesome! last sunday gracie and i got to hang out with natasha and her family. natasha is a friend of paulina, and called me up when she saw paulina's cute pictures! yay! anyways, we had a ton of fun, i love families and kids and pictures pictures pictures. i love that what i create for my clients will become a family keepsake, capturing a particular season in their lives. hope you love these natasha, and that you can look at them everytime you guys are countries apart and remember how much you love eachother :)

hmmm, nope.

don't ever get the mint ice cream at cold stone (even though its pretty), nope, dont do it. i strayed from the usual (*gasp*) and tried some weird new-fangled spin on a cookies and cream shake... but with mint ice cream.... and it ended up tasting like i brushed my teeth while i was eating oreos, then ate 6 sticks of spearmint gum, then more oreos, all through a straw. gross gross gross wrong and gross.

anyways, its late, great shoot today, post pics soon, saw a great movie tonight, cried (not about how good it was but) about how much better Jesus is than everything in the whole world. also in shocking news- i'm glad my best friend is my best friend- she puts all other best friends to shame, sorry. i'm rambling... should be sleeping... zzzzzzZzZzzZZZZ
